Merry Christmas!

So this week we had our Christmas party at the Mission Home and got to go to the temple right after! Perfect. It was the best present I could ask for being out here, and I think a lot of the missionaries would agree to that. It's so fun to be out on a mission during Christmas time. It's perfect, all we are told to do on Christmas is to find opportunities to serve and visit people and  you know usually that is what we do everyday, but on Christmas it's a whole different feel! We are talking about Christ and the Gift we have been given by him coming on the earth to be the example that he is. And the sacrifice he made when he suffered for us and was later crucified. We share this Mormon message>>> http://www.mormonchannel.org/video/mormon-messages?v=91116181400. And then read Alma 7:10-12.
the fact is it is such a blessing that we have been Jesus Christ, our Savior. For it to be made possible to be clean from our sins so we can stand in front our our heavenly Father once again and we judged. the greatest part about these verses is that Christ because of his sacrifice has suffered all our pains, weaknesses, sickness, shortcoming. Anything that is unfair about his life, HE has been through with us. He knows us so perfectly, and because of this he knows how to take care of us through the hard times in our life. What a great gift, I love what He has done for us and his willingness to do it. I am so thankful for God and giving his Son to do this. It's the best gift, and I hope we can all remember that especially during this time of the year.
Something really cool happened last week when we went to go visit a former investigator. she was having a really rough time taking care of her mom who has dementia for the last ten years and she was getting real down and stuff, it's hard to be a care taker! She doesn't really know if there is a God or won't for certain say that there is one, but while we were talking we challenged her to pray for a week, that's it! And testified that it would give her strength and allow her to feel God's love for her. She wasn't really sure about it, but I promised her that it would make a difference and that she should just do it, for one week! She said she would. We come back a week later, she opens up the door and she just starts going off about it and how much it helped her. She said it made her feel so much happier, and better everyday. She started to talk to her friends and family about what she was doing and how she could see that there is a God. As she explained this it made me so happy! I could tell that she started to gain hope. there is a true power that comes with prayer, it may seem weird at first. but the more you do it the more you realize that you aren't talking to yourself and that someone is there.
I love that God knows us so perfectly and know what we need to grow. The more we put forward the more we get out of it. I am so thankful to be out here and have the opportunity to see the Lord hand work through out everyone's

life. He is there and you'll see it if you're looking!
I love you! And I hope you have a great Christmas!!!
Love, Sister Tincher :)
