So this week...... wow it was super busy it felt like we had lots of service opportunities and so that was nice, and we got to teach a couple lessons to investigators! We got a new referral last week from a member who knows this girl that she worked with at some association in Romania... Haha I hope that wasn't too hard to follow! But we heard that her husband died about a week and a half ago, and have been married now for about three years? But here is a difficult detail she is struggling with, she is a dwarf and had a two year old son! So we went to help her with some chores and grocery shopping, and then we got to teach her the plan of salvation. It was great. She seems to believe most of the things we do, but I always think it's interesting to teach this lesson because it speak to them in a specific way because you know they have been thinking about it a lot. So we are excited to work more with her and we just need to figure out how we will be getting her a ride to church!
We have this less active who we work with. He is an older gentle man and is super funny, with out trying to be! I think this is the best kind of funny, because it's natural. Haha I just don't know how to explain myself, but as we were talking to him we started to talk about how he was a model. So we asked him if he would be willing to show us how you "walk" and he showed is alright, and it was good. I learned a lot for those future occasions where I will be fashioning! So that was a funny moment for us this week.
Also one of our investigators who is progressing has chosen a time to be baptized! The thing about him is he is from Brazil and wanted to got here to be baptized in the ocean, well we talked to president about something and he said that it would work if he got baptized in the Lake! Hah and so our investigator said that would work and we are going to try and make it work here... On the beach... It will be one to remember that's for sure! But it's exciting haha.
We are working with a less active who has recently decided to come back, and full fledged! It's so amazing and inspiring! I just love to be able to teach him. His testimony is so powerful and the things he is now learning will effect him forever. It just makes me realize, what will it take for you to become converted, what do you have to experience, lose, or feel before you feel like you might just try this "thing" out. I love the power of desire. It's a gift God gives us that drives us to use our agency and if it's for good, that same desire helps us open doors that will enlighten and eliminate our lives with a feeling we wish we could have let ourselves eerie nice earlier.
I love this gospel and the.light I have felt. The hope the comes from the power of the atonement and the knowledge of My Savior is something I would never want to go with out.
The idea is that we are like Lehi in his dream would after being converted to The Lord, would go and desire to share what we have experienced. I know that being rejected is scary, but I am often reminded that it is not the rejection, it's the invitation that counts. Because people can only accept something that have been given!
I love you all so much! I hope that the week is better then the last!
Love you!
